I’m trying not to get excited, but holy shit, y’all, Oprah.
Ever since I heard people spreading rumors about her possible future in politics, I’ve been dreaming about our country and what it would be capable of: treating people equally (hopefully) – a love of the arts and literature – a respect for humanity and education – a respect and appreciation for all backgrounds – a leader who listens – a WOMAN – and a freaking incredible, empathic, smart WOMAN to boot…
The list goes on, and on.
I went to Tias Little’s workshop last January in Dallas (he’s back next weekend!), and I talked with one of the Dallas Yoga Center’s lead yoga teachers and counselors about our political climate and how depressed I was about it all, and she said, “I’m excited about Trump. He is the last thing we needed before allowing full change into this country. This is the final straw that will get America to wake up and allow our country to enter fully into the heart chakra”.
And I thought, OK, yes, I like what you’re saying, but I think you’re a little too positive. This country is messed up.
I’m hoping now, she was right. Please be right.
So, yes, please, Oprah. Please, some sanity. Please, some love. We all need more love.
Here’s my latest and my favorite, simple tofu sandwich. We cannot get enough of this. Give it a try, it’s quick and perfect for lunch or with a salad for dinner.
With love, Jen
