Green Chile Stew in the Land of Enchantment

Welcome! I’m Jen.

I love cooking, writing, and traveling, and sharing these things with you.

A vegetarian since 1994 and mostly-vegan since 2011, I’ve been posting my own recipes on this site since 2015, and have several travel blogs as well, featuring the best vegan options across the U.S. as well as fun things to do while you’re visiting.

Originally from Dallas, I fell in love with the art of cooking and entertaining during my New Orleans and Nashville years. I’m convinced that no other cities on earth can hold dinner parties like those friendly and feisty locales. There’s nothing quite like a delicious, homemade meal, music, laughter, and great conversation to bring people together.

These days, my husband and I split our time between North Texas and New Mexico, inching closer and closer to the day that we can make the full-time move. For now, I'm happy and grateful to get to call the Land of Enchantment my half-time home.
